Welcome

Comprehensive & compassionate Education for Your Child

Welcome to Lawrenceville Presbyterian Preschool, a parent co-operative preschool that provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children between the ages of 2 and 5 years old. Our preschool is conveniently located on Main Street, right next to The Lawrenceville School, and we proudly serve the surrounding communities of Lawrenceville, Ewing, Pennington, and Princeton, NJ.

At Lawrenceville Presbyterian Preschool, we believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process, which is why we offer a play-based curriculum that encourages exploration and discovery. Our dedicated teachers work closely with parents to create a supportive learning environment that fosters social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

As a parent co-operative preschool, we encourage active parent involvement in our school community, and we value the unique contributions that each family brings. We believe that this partnership between parents and teachers helps to create a sense of ownership and investment in our school, which ultimately benefits the children.

We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our curriculum, faculty, and community. If you are interested in scheduling a visit, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you and to the opportunity to introduce you and your child to our wonderful preschool.

Our 5-year old son recently graduated LPP after his Owl year and our 3-year old son is a rising Chickadee. We have been delighted with their educational and social development experiences at this gem of a pre-school. The staff are experienced, devoted to the children, and genuinely passionate about their work. The teachers are the real strength of LPP and have worked with us as true partners in parenting our complex boys. Academically, we feel that our eldest is abundantly prepared to succeed at kindergarten in the fall. We can wholeheartedly recommend this school to any parents in the area.

LPP was such a nurturing, special and family-oriented environment for our son, Micah. Each day he was eager to go to school to see the wonderful teachers and classmates because he was having fun! The progress we saw academically and socially in just a year was incredible. We will forever cherish our experience at LPP and the friendships we built during our experience.

We have loved our time at LPP. It has been a happy, supportive, and welcoming place for our whole family, with teachers who have truly cared for our children. Thank you for a wonderful preschool experience!

“My family enjoys LPP so much we consider them our extended family. I had 2 kids graduate from the program, we are very happy with the success and growth of both of them. LPP gives a nurturing, kind, playful approach to learning and was flexible with my schedule.  My soon to be 2nd grader still talks about her fun times and how much the teachers made an impact on her learning. My soon to be kindergartener spent the last 2 years with a LPP and talks about the fun she had while in school. We have created bonds with the other families as well. The teachers at LPP make me want to be a teacher. They taught the kids ways to make learning fun, with songs and repetition. Being able to volunteer and see my children in their own environment playing with their friends was very rewarding. Wednesdays were my favorite because it was baking day. Natalie would bring creations home that she helped make and was so proud. My husband and I will miss our LPP family and will always keep them near to our hearts.”

Our Scholarship Fund

Our Susan Bachus Scholarship Fund.

The Executive Board of the Lawrenceville Presbyterian Preschool (LPP or formerly LPCNS) would like to share some important news. After 30+ years of teaching and mentoring at our beloved preschool, Susan Bachus  officially retired at the end of the 2014-15 school year.

We have established the Susan Bachus Scholarship Fund to celebrate her many years of teaching and nurturing children, with our best wishes for her retirement.  By starting this fund, we hope to offer an opportunity to attend our preschool to every family. We feel this is an outstanding way to honor such a loving and dedicated teacher.

We honor her tireless dedication to early childhood education, and the promotion of our mission to teach children through play and nurture them in a welcoming, loving, faith-filled environment.  Susan has been an exemplar of that philosophy and so much more, serving as teacher, director, mentor and parent support.  Through this Scholarship Fund we also wish to express our gratitude for all of our past and present teachers.

To make a contribution to The Susan Bachus Scholarship Fund, honoring Susan and all of our teachers, please send your donation to LPPreschool, 2688 Main Street, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Checks can be made payable to LPP, and should include “SUSAN BACHUS SCHOLARSHIP FUND” in the note on your check.
